Prats Qualifies For U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomore Tiffany Prats (Williston, Fla.) qualified for the 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship firing a round of 74 and then surviving a four person playoff at the Sectional Qualifying event this past weekend at The Links at Boynton Beach in Boynton Beach, Fla.

The 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship will be held July 11-16 at Swope Memorial Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo.

Also competing at the Sectional was Miami freshman Mandy Fricton (Merritt Island, Fla.). Fricton, who also shot a 74, finished fourth in the playoff and will be the first alternate.
