Fan Appreciation Weekend Highlights Jacksonville Series

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – The University of Miami will honor their fans as a part of Fan Appreciation Weekend this Friday May 6th through Sunday May 8th.

All fans in attendance this weekend are invited to take advantage of the 25% off all merchandise discount available though the Hurricanes Headquarter Outlet, located at the main entrance.

On Friday, fans will have the opportunity to win baseball family plans for the 2006 season through several contests and Lucky numbers program.

Saturday’s game features a variety of activities both pre-game and in-game. From noon until 2 pm on Saturday, season ticket holders are invited to Mark Light Field to participate in the annual Season Ticket Holder Batting Practice Day. All season tickets holders are invited to come out to Mark Light and take a few swings on the ball field. Special prizes will be awarded to any season ticket holder managing to hit a home run.

The first 2,000 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive a free uncut trading card sheet, featuring the 2005 Hurricanes. During the game, previous winners of the U Gas Longest Drive Promotion will be invited back. One winner will be selected to win free gas to attend the ACC baseball tournament in Jacksonville Florida. Additionally, all fans in attendance will have the chance to win $10,000 in the final Chispa’s $10,000 Super Saturday’s promotion of the season.

Following the conclusion of Sunday’s regular season home finale, the 2005 Hurricanes will be available for a special on-field autograph session. All Hurricanes fans are invited to attend.
