The Hurricanes, who won their 13th straight match and their 26th-straight match at home, improve to 15-2 overall and 6-0 in the ACC. NC State fell to 7-8 overall and 0-5 in ACC play.

Miami swept all three doubles matches to open the match and take a 1-0 lead. The country’s fourth ranked duo of Megan Bradley and Audrey Banada topped the Wolfpack’s Barbara Orlay/Elin Stahl Johansson pair 8-2 before Melissa Applebaum and Staci Stevens joined to defeat Agustina Arechavaleta and Danielle Stadelmann 8-1. UM’s freshman tandem of Patricia Starzyk and Juliette Mavroleon upended NC State’s Carmen Torres and Julia Roach 8-6 to complete the sweep.

No. 69 Emily Mowery got things started in singles with a 6-0, 6-2 straight set victory over Johansson at the No. 4 position for her ninth-straight win.

Bradley likewise claimed a straight set victory at the No. 1 spot, defeating Orlay 6-1, 6-2 for her 30th-straight victory. The win gives Bradley her 35th win of the season, a feat only accomplished three times in school history. Bradley holds the school record with 37 wins in a single season  while former UM great Lise Gregory was the only other player to win 35 singles matches, posting a 35-12 record in the 1984-85 season.

Starzyk, ranked 92nd, downed Stadelmann 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 3 position to remain unbeaten in 17 matches this spring and clinch the win for the Hurricanes.

Mavroleon and fellow freshman Caren Seenauth took straight set victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, respectively. Mavroleon downed Roach 6-2, 6-4 as Seenauth topped Torres 6-1, 6-3.

Stevens wrapped up the match with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Arechavaleta at the No. 2 slot.

The Hurricanes return to action with a four-match road swing to close the regular season. Miami will face No. 7 Duke Saturday, April 2nd. Match time in Durham, N.C. is set for 1:00 p.m.
