Hurricanes Return Home Wednesday to Face Wisconsin

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will host non-conference opponent, Wisconsin, Wednesday afternoon at 6 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The Hurricanes (8-6) will return to Coral Gables following a difficult four-match road swing as they take on the Badgers (4-7) in their final non-conference tilt of the season.

Miami enters Wednesday’s match coming off an impressive 7-0 win at Loyola Marymount last Thursday in Los Angeles and boast a 6-2 record in matches at the Neil Schiff Tennis. The Hurricanes are also 5-2 following a win this season while Wisconsin has yet to win two consecutive matches this spring.

UM’s singles’ lineup features one nationally ranked player in 67th-ranked junior Tim Krebs. Krebs is 8-4 in singles this spring and is 8-0 in non-conference matches.

Sophomore Josh Cohen is 7-6 in dual matches and 5-4 in the No. 1 position.

Junior Eric Hechtman holds the Hurricanes’ best record this spring with a 10-2 mark in dual matches.

In doubles, Cohen and Hechtman have a 7-3 record and Krebs along with freshman Vivek Subramanian are currently undefeated at 9-0 as a tandem in doubles play.

Fans are invited out for free pizza at Wednesday’s match. Admission to Wednesday’s match is free to students and the general public.
