Dreyer Earns All-America Honorable Mention on Three-Meter

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – University of Miami freshman diver Jenna Dreyer earned All-America Honorable Mention honors on the three-meter springboard at the 2005 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship in the Boilermaker Aquatic Center held on the campus Purdue University Friday afternoon.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
Dreyer, who was named All-American after placing sixth on the one-meter Thursday night, finished in 14th place with a score of 469.95.
Sophomore Heather Bounds finished 20th in the field of 41 with a score of 453.40.
Student-athletes who finish among the top eight are named All-America. Those who place anywhere from ninth to 16th place are designated All-America Honorable Mention.
The Hurricanes will conclude action at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships with the 10-meter platform event. Preliminaries will begin in the late afternoon with finals beginning at 5:00 p.m.
