Barrett Named USTCA Player of the Week

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Kim Barrett (Miami Gulliver Prep) has been named the United States Track Coaches Association Athlete of the Week.

Last weekend Barrett scored 18 points to help lead Miami to the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championship. Barrett won the ACC shot put title with a nation-leading toss of 18.19 meters (59-08.25). She also placed second in the weight throw recording an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 20.64 meters (67-08.75).
