2005 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament Ticket Allocation Policy

Nov. 8, 2004

The University of Miami Athletic Department has implemented a ticket allocation policy specifically for the 2005 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament to be held on March 10-13 at Washington, D.C.’s MCI Center. For the first year in this prestigious tournament, the University of Miami will receive one-third of the normal allotment of tickets that we will receive beginning with the 2007 Tournament.

Due to the very low number of tickets received and the internal demands on tickets, the following ticket allocation will be in place and strictly followed. There will be five (5) levels of qualification for tickets, none of which are guaranteed. Those donors in each level of giving will be allocated tickets based on the priority point system until tickets are exhausted or the next level of giving is reached.

For the purposes of this tournament, all contributions to the Hurricane Club’s annual fund, endowment program, Convocation Center project, Hecht Athletic Center project, and any other capital campaign projects will determine a person’s level of giving. Fees paid to booster groups such as the Top of the Key Club or memorial gifts will not be included for these purposes.

Gift totals are determined by what is actually PAID between the dates of January 1, 2004 and December 31, 2004. For those who qualify for and purchase tickets, the Hurricane Club will make hotel rooms available to them at the Grand Hyatt Washington, just across the street from the MCI Center.
