Women's Golf Finishes 18th At Lady Paladin

Greenville, S.C. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team shot a final-round 301 to finish in a tie for 18th-place (313-304-301–918) at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.

Host Furman (287-292-292–871) won the team championship defeating Georgia (289-290-293–872) by one stroke.

Miami sophomore Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) was the Hurricanes’ top individual finisher placing 31st with a three-round score of 224 (76-76-72). Senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) finished in a tie for 43rd with a three-day score of 226 (77-75-74–226).

Furman’s Monique Gesualdi won the individual title with a three-round total of 213 (69-70-74).

Miami returns to action October 29-31 at the ACC/SEC Challenge in Sandestin, Fla.
