Women's Golf Finishes Second At Wildcat Fall Invitational

Lexington, Kentucky (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team recorded a final round 313 to finish second with a three-day total of 928 (312-303-313) at the UK Wildcat Fall Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mississippi State won the team title posting a three-day score of 898 (302-299-297). The University of Memphis placed third (309-311-314–934) while host Kentucky was fourth (316-312-310–938).
Senior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) finished in a tie for seventh with a score of 228 (78-73-77) to lead the Hurricanes. UM sophomore Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) also played well finishing 10th with a score of 229 (76-75-78).
Mississippi State’s Amanda Mathis won the individual title with a score of 219 (73-71-75).
The Hurricanes return to action October 8-10 at the Pat Bradley Championship being held at the Doral Golf Resort in Miami, Fla.
