Atlanta, Ga. (hurricanesports.com) – Junior All-American Lauryn Williams (Rochester, Pa.) won the 200-meters with a time of 22.61 to lead the University of Miami at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.

Williams, who ranks third in the nation in the 200-meters, improves to 3-0 in the event this season. Williams is a perfect 6-0 this season having also posted a 3-0 mark in the 100-meters. Earlier this season she recorded the fastest time in the world in the 100-meters with a mark of 11.01 seconds at the Miami Gatorade Invitational.

Sophomore All-American Charlette Greggs (Miami Northwestern) finished second in the 400-meters with an NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 52.00 seconds. Also posting an NCAA qualifying mark was freshman Ginou Etienne (Miami Central) who finished sixth in a time of 52.61 seconds.

Senior Adrienne Moss (Miami Southridge) recorded an NCAA Regional Qualifying mark in the shot put finishing sixth with a toss of 15.19 meters (49-10.00).

The NCAA East Regional Championships will be May 28-29 in Gainesville, Fla. The Hurricanes have had 15 student-athletes record 25 NCAA Regional qualifying marks in 11 separate events.
