No. 2 Seed Miami Primed for Match-Up with No. 3 Seed Boston College at the 2004 BIG EAST Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 26th ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team – playing as the No. 2 seed – will take on No. 3 seed Boston College Friday at noon in the semi-finals of the 2004 BIG EAST Tennis Championships at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes drew the No. 2 seed at this year’s tournament after posting an overall record of 15-3 in dual play this season, including an unbeaten mark of 12-0 at home.
Boston College (13-5) advanced to the semi-final match-up with the Hurricanes after a win over No. 6 seed Rutgers, 4-0 Thursday afternoon in the opening round of the conference championships.
Miami holds an all-time record of 10-0 in matches against the Eagles, downing BC, 7-0 in their last outing in 2003.
Friday’s semi-final rounds are slated to begin at 9 a.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center with No. 1 Notre Dame taking on No. 4 Virginia Tech followed by the Hurricanes’ match with Boston College at noon. Admission is free.
