Hurricanes Take to the Road to Face Clemson, Georgia Tech

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 40th-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team will get a taste of next year’s ACC schedule this weekend as the Hurricanes travel to take on No. 66 Clemson Saturday in Clemson, S.C. before heading to Atlanta, Ga. Sunday to face No. 34 Georgia Tech.

Miami hits the road with an overall record of 11-5 in dual play this season after dropping a pair of matches last weekend to future ACC rivals North Carolina and Duke.

The Tigers are 20-10 this season, riding a four-match win streak with consecutive wins over Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Florida State and South Carolina.

The Hurricanes hold an advantage in the all-time series with Clemson at 22-15, downing the Tigers, 5-2 last season in Coral Gables.

Georgia Tech boast an overall record of 14-6 heading into Sunday’s match with UM after rallying from behind by 3-1 to win 4-3 Thursday against South Carolina.

Miami is 28-2 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, falling to GT in their last outing 5-2 last season in Coral Gables.

Both matches are slated for noon.
