UM's Frank, Landy Qualify For BIG EAST Championships

Tampa, Fla. – Miami seniors Kenny Frank (Pomona, N.Y.) and Russell Landy (Miami Killian) recorded BIG EAST qualifying marks during the first day of competition at the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla.

Frank finished third in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 14.55 seconds to advance to the final.Landy qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the long jump finishing third with a mark of 6.76 meters (22-02.25).

Freshman Thomas Berry (Stanford, Conn.) also ran well finishing seventh in the 3,000-meters with a time of 8:55.66.
