Competition will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, 8:00 a.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

The tournament features the best women’s collegiate golf in Florida, as 14 schools from the state come together for three rounds to determine the state champion.

This season’s championship will feature five teams ranked among the top-100 teams in the nation including two-time defending champion and 30th-ranked Florida State, No. 51 Miami, No. 56 South Florida, No. 90 Florida International and No. 93 Florida Atlantic. Rounding out the field are Barry, Bethune-Cookman, Florida Southern, Jacksonville, Lynn, Nova Southeastern, Rollins, Stetson and UCF.

Miami, which has won the state title eight times, has been led this season by junior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame). Miller, the 2003 BIG EAST Champion and runner-up at last year’s Ryder Championship, has won two tournaments this season and recorded five other top-10 finishes. She leads the team with a 75.6 stroke average.

Other top individuals competing this weekend at the par-72, 6,317-yard course include 67th-ranked Katie Quinney (Florida State), 98th-ranked Natalia Navarro (Florida Atlantic) and the 2003 NCAA Division II National Champion Charlotte Campbell (Rollins).
