No. 15 Miami Shuts Out No. 71 Dartmouth, 7-0

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The No. 15-ranked Miami women’s tennis team swept through doubles and singles action en route to a 7-0 shutout over No. 71 Dartmouth Wednesday night at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes (11-2) remain undefeated at home at 9-0 on the season. Dartmouth falls to 9-3 overall.
Miami improves to 12-0 in the all-time series with Dartmouth.
The Hurricanes swept thorough doubles play with wins at all three spots.
No. 4 Megan Bradley (Columbia, Mo.) blew by Jayme Ahmed winning 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 singles spot.
Melissa Applebaum (Coral Gables, Fla.) and Staci Stevens (Hammond, La.) put Miami up 4-0 in the match winning at courts No. 2 and No. 4. Applebaum beat Catherine Crandall 6-0, 6-1, while Stevens downed Sarah McNally 6-0, 6-1.
Audrey Banada (North Miami Beach, Fla.) remains perfect on the season, beating Kerry Snow 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 5 spot.
Sihem Bennacer (Algiers, Algeria) also won in straight sets downing Kelsey Surbaugh 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
Mari Toro (Miami, Fla.) rounded out the shutout for the Hurricanes with a 7-6 (3), 6-2 over Lindsay Winingham at the No. 3 spot.
The Hurricanes host Marquette Friday at 1 p.m.
