Miller, Hurricanes Lead Peggy Kirk Invitational

Winter Springs, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – Junior Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) fired a second round 71 and is in first place heading into the final round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational at Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs, Fla.
As a team the Hurricanes lead the tournament with a two round total of 608. James Madison is in second with a score of 614 while host Rollins College is in third place (615).
Miller, who shot an opening round 78 in the morning session, leads by one stroke over a group of four players including Freddie Seeholzer (Rollins), Polly Willett (UNC Greensboro), Christy Larrimore (Georgetown) and Carol Green (James Madison).
Miller is looking for her third victory this season and fifth of her career.
Freshman Tiffany Prats (Williston, Fla.) and senior Jazmin Cataldo (Asuncion Paraguay) also played well and are tied for sixth. Prats (73-78-151) and Cataldo (77-74-151), who are both looking to win their first collegiate tournament, are only two strokes back heading into the final round.
Final round action will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9th.
