No. 35 Men's Tennis to Host No. 34 South Florida

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 35th-ranked University of Miami men’s tennis team will host in-state rival No. 34 South Florida on Saturday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Miami (1-0) enters the match after opening the season with a 4-3 win over SMU on Jan. 25 in Coral Gables.

Against the Mustangs, the No. 41 tandem of sophomores Tim Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) and Colin Purcell (Louisville, Ky.) help to lead UM to victory by taking SMU’s No. 1 doubles team, 8-6, while freshman Josh Cohen (Weston, Fla.) blanked SMU’s Gwinyai Chingoka, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 singles spot.

Saturday’s match with South Florida is slated to begin at noon. Admission is free.
