Schultz Leads Miami At Cross Country Regional

AUBURN, Ala. – University of Miami sophomore Melanie Schultz (Davison, Mich.) finished 41st in a time of 22:17.16 to lead the women’s cross country team to a 16th-place finish at the NCAA South Region Cross Country Championships held at Indian Pines Golf Course in Auburn, Ala.

Schultz has been UM’s top finisher in five of six races this season.

The Hurricanes had three runners finish in the top-77 individually including junior Marilyn Ruiz (Hallendale, Fla.) who finished 61st in a time of 22:38.84 and freshman Lindsey Rohrs (St. Charles, Mich.) who took 77th in a time of 22:53.66.
