Women's Tennis At Midwest Fall Blast-Day Two

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami women’s tennis team completed day two of the fifth annual Midwest Fall Blast hosted by Illinois Saturday afternoon at the Atkins Tennis Center in Champaign, Ill.
The Hurricanes won all three doubles matches against Virginia and two singles matches against Notre Dame.
No. 48 Melissa Applebaum (Coral Gables, Fla.) lost the first set 7-6 to Kristina Stastny but fought back taking the next two sets 6-4, 6-3.
Sihem Bennacer (Algiers, Algeria) defeated Liz Donahue in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 7-6.
The Hurricanes are back in action Sunday morning facing Virginia in singles play.
