Former Hurricane Nick Gramsky Qualifies For USA Olympic Trails

Chicago, IL (hurricanesports.com) – Former University of Miami cross country and track and field standout Nick Gramsky (McLean, VA) finished 33rd overall at the Chicago Marathon in a time of 2:20.46 to qualify for the USA Olympic Trials to be held February 7, 2004 in Birmingham, AL.
Gramsky (25) finished 14th among American competitors.
Gramsky competed in cross country as well as track and field at the University of Miami from 1996-2000. As a member of the cross country team Gramsky earned All-State honors in 1997 and 1999, and in 1998 earned All-Region accolades.
Gramsky was also a standout in track and field where he still holds UM records in the 3,000-meters (8:32.19) and 10,000-meters (30:52.00), and is a member of the school-record 4×1,600-meter relay.
