Men's Tennis Advances At All-American Tournament

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The University of Miami men’s tennis doubles duo Tim Krebs and Colin Purcell advance in the qualifying bracket of the Icy Hot ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) and Purcell (Louisville, Ky.) beat Nic Beuque and Jeff Das of San Diego 8-6 Tuesday afternoon in the opening round of the qualifying bracket. They improve to 8-3 on the fall season.

The duo will face Jose Luis Muguruza and Scott Schnugg of Georgia Tech in the second round Wednesday at Noon.

Freshman Josh Cohen (Weston, Fla.) fell in the opening round of the qualifying bracket to Adrians Zguns of Arkansas in three sets 7-5, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
