Men's Track Earns Academic Honors

Coral Gables, FL (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s track and field team earned All-Academic distinction by the United States Track Coaches Association for the 2003 season.

The Hurricanes’ team GPA of 3.166 ranked eighth in the nation behind Rice (3.320), St. Francis, PA (3.263), Dartmouth (3.220), Davidson (3.220), William & Mary (3.198), Drake (3.168) and Quinnipiac (3.167).

The honor comes on the heels of the men’s cross country team which earned All-Academic honors earlier in the year. The UM men’s cross country team earned All-Academic distinction by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association boasting a team GPA of 3.12, ranking 50th in the nation.
