Hurricanes Continue With Fall Practice

Aug. 7, 2003

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami football team continued workouts in shorts and shoulder pads on Thursday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields.

Head Coach Larry Coker was pleased with the progress of the offense.

“On offense we had a really good day,” Coker said. “I really like way Ryan Moore stepped up today. He had some great plays and did a nice job. I also think (Brock) Berlin threw the ball much better today and that is certainly encouraging. Overall, I think the offensive line made some positive strides today as well”

The defensive secondary also turned in a strong performance on Thursday afternoon, catching the eye of the coaching staff.

“Defensively the secondary seems to stand out,” Coker said. “They are making plays, making interceptions, making good breaks on the ball and having a lot of fun playing defense.”
