As summer rolls in, the Hurricane Club begins to prepare for another big year of Hurricane athletics. With the baseball team heading to the College World Series and the women’s track team racing in the NCAA Championships, there still are plenty of athletes training and competing. On The Run To Omaha!!!!!
The Miami Hurricanes used small ball and the long ball to carve out a 11-5 victory in 11 innings over the North Carolina State Wolfpack to earn a trip to the College World Series. The Hurricanes advanced by winning the Coral Gables Super Regional at Mark Light Field on the University of Miami campus before a crowd of 4964 Sunday.To purchase tickets, please call the College World Series at 402-554-4404Read it here.

2003 Renewals
Thanks to all our members and season ticket holders who made donations before the May 31st deadline. Please remember that the remaining 50% must be paid by August 1st in order to have your tickets released for the football season. UM Lady Hurricanes Headed to NCAA Championships
University of Miami seniors Sashanie Simpson (Miami, FL) and Gina Harris (Philadelphia, PA), and juniors Adrienne Moss (Miami Southridge) and Jennifer Penrose (Mesa, AZ) received at-large bids to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 11-14, in Sacramento, CA.With the addition of Simpson (400-meters), Harris (long jump), Moss (shot put) and Penrose (shot put), Miami has qualified a school-record 10 individuals and two relays for next weekend’s NCAA Championships.Read it here.

CANESFEST 2003
CanesFest is right around the corner and the Miami Hurricanes are headed to Broward and Palm Beach! CanesFest 2003- Broward will be held on July 26, 2003 at the Broward County Convention Center from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The Hurricanes will then travel to the South Florida Fairgrounds in Palm Beach on July 27, 2003 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm. Check REPLACE_ME for additional information.

Football Lockerroom Project Underway
The football lockerroom renovation project is under way. During the past month, workers have been tearing up the old carpet and lockers and installing the new lockers with anticipation of completing the new lockerroom by mid-July. Former players and other UM supporters purchased more than 75 former lockers to assist the renovation process. Check back with REPLACE_ME to view the new locker room before fall practice begins!
