Miller Completes First Round At NCAA Golf Regional

Winston-Salem, NC (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomore Tina Miller (Miami Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) fired an opening-round 75 and is seven-strokes back after the first day of competition at the NCAA Women’s East Regional Golf Championship being held at Salem Glen Country Club in Winston-Salem, NC.
Miller, who received an at-large berth to the NCAA Regional Championships, won two tournaments this season including a first-place tie at the 2003 BIG EAST Women’s Golf Championship. She finished in the top-20 in seven of nine tournaments this season, including five top-10’s, and had a team best 75.4 stroke average.
Miller is the second Hurricane in as many seasons to compete at the NCAA Regional Championships. Last season Camilla Hilland was an NCAA East Regional at-large selection.
Competition continues Friday with the third and final round taking place on Saturday.
