Q:
When will Mark Light Stadium renovations start? Soon or in a long period of time.

A:Our hope is to have the design completed next year with construction to begin in 2004. The project will take 2 seasons to complete as currently estimated.

: Dear Paul;I received your February 20th letter regarding beer sales in the Orange Bowl. It would be my hope that you would eliminate beer sales completely. My daughter went to Notre Dame and I can vouch how much nicer the games are without people getting up to buy beer, spilling the beer, and acting stupid because they’ve been drinking beer. Please create a true family atmosphere where we can enjoy the team without beer. Thank you, John

A:Thanks for writing. We are going to do what we can to minimize the use of alcohol at the Orange Bowl.

Q:
Paul,
Thank you for the thoughts expressed in your letter of February 20th to Season Ticket holders.
As a fan of 35 years and a Season Ticket holder for more than 20, my wife and I have seen the results of the current alcohol policy. Our seats have always been in the closed end zone, still the best seats in the house, and that area has gone from the “family zone” to the drunken brawl zone in the past ten years. Last year, for the first time, my wife has been reluctant to attend games because of the atmosphere created by alcohol sales at the stadium.
I am certain that all but a small portion of the fans would appreciate the total ban of alcohol at the stadium and you have our complete support in this effort.
Sincerely,
Don & Carol Campbell

A:We’re working on the problem of alcohol with the City. While we don’t have a final result, we’re working hard to find a fan pleasing solution.

Q:
In 1961, Bill Miller made mostAll-America teams at end for theUniversity of Miami.

Will he be inducted ito the Ring ofHonor?

A:The Ring of Honor was created to recognize those persons who have had their jerseys retired and others who reached that stature. There is no regular time for selection. There is a private working group that assists the Athletic Director and Head Coach in making the decision to induct new members.
