CORAL GABLES, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s basketball team held its annual awards banquet Wednesday at the Mayfair House Hotel in Coconut Grove, FL. Head Coach Perry Clark announced the following award recipients:
Outstanding Student Athlete: James Jones (3.405 GPA in Finance)
Founders Award: Darius Rice (Courage, Dedication and Hard work displayed throughout the year
Best Free Throw %: Rob Hite (.854, 35-41)
Leading 3-Point FG %: James Jones (.400, 40-100)
Leading Field Goal %: Rafael Berumen (.593, 35-59)
Assists Leader: Armondo Surratt (93, 3.3 apg)
Leading Scorer: Darius Rice (506, 18.7 ppg)
Chairman Of The Boards: James Jones (169, 6.0 rpg)
Sixth Man Award: Paulo Coelho (Presented by the Top of the Key Club)
Hustle Award: Eric Wilkins, Ismael N’Diaye and
Gary Hamilton
