Hurricanes Improve Ranking

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – The University of Miami men’s tennis team jumped from No. 42 to No. 34 yesterday following Sunday’s 4-3 upset of then-No. 10 Texas A&M.

UM also has convincing wins over North Carolina State and Florida Atlantic and the No. 9 player in the collegiate men’s tennis, Todd Widom.

Friday, the Hurricanes will face an even tougher challenge when they play No. 6 Florida in Gainesville.

The Gators’ Janne Holmia is ranked No. 29 in the country.
