I am currently in Italy playing ball, but i keep close tabs on what’s happening with the athletics there. I just want to say you guys did a great job with the photos and i’m glad that damn gym is open.Peace!
John McCeary: Lehigh, Fl: The seating is great and the atmosphere took some time but it heated up in the second half. Food was good and the service was friendly. I loved the idea that it’s out home with our colors. I cna’t believe that the bathrooms were designed after the Orange Bowl with very few facilities and only one way in and out. All in all I’m excited about having my seats there and look forward to the UConn game.
JANE COLONA: MIAMI, FLORIDA: I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THE NEW CONVOCATION CENTER. EVEN THE GENERAL ADMISSION SEATING HAD A SPECTACULAR VIEW. IT IS WONDERFUL TO FINALLY HAVE AN ARENA ON CAMPUS. I LOOK FORWARD TO UPCOMING EVENTS. GO CANES!
Matt McGrath: Coconut Grove, FL: Beautiful facility! I have enjoyed the growth of Hurricane basketball over the last 10+ years and am thrilled to see the missing ingredient finally put in place – atmosphere. And thank you to the team for treating us to a fantastic game on opening night.A couple suggestions, though. Put some tile down on the concourse floor. The “unfinished look” appears just that – unfinished. It detracts from an otherwise magnificent building. And do something with the future seating (concrete slabs). Cover them, paint them, decorate them, something. Overall, though, great job by everyone involved in the design and construction.
Britt Rosen: Miami, FL: The new center is fantastic. Very intimate and a great home court. The only comments I have is that UM did not have any commerative ticket or program for the opening. I notice the the NFL and even the BCS does a nice job on having a commemerative tiket, program or coin one could collect…. as I do. I do not think much thought went into this for the NC game. Again, I know if was a job just getting the arena ready, but to have something special for opening night for season ticket holders would have been nice.
ADAM DOUNN: COOPER CITY FL: ITS GREAT!!. IT WAS SO LOUD, THE CROWD WAS INTO IT. THE CENTER IS VERY NICE AND MODERN. ITS GREAT THAT WE NOW HAVE A REAL HOME! GO CANES!!!!
