Hilland, Cataldo Share Lead at Lady Panther Intercollegiate

Stockbridge, GA (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami juniors Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) and Jazmin Cataldo (Asuncion, Paraguay) each fired three-under-par 69 and are tied for the lead after the first of competition at the John Kirk/Lady Panther Intercollegiate being held at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, GA.
Hilland, the 18th ranked golfer in the nation, and Cataldo hold a one-stroke advantage over Leah Hart (Augusta State), Johanna Lundberg (Western Carolina) and Florencia Moran (Jacksonville State).
Miami, which recorded a team total of 299, is in third-place. Western Carolina leads after recording an opening-round 292, while Jacksonville State is in second following a first-round 297.
Hilland, who finished tied for fourth in the Hurricanes’ season opener at the Lady Kat Invitational, has recorded eight top-10 finishes in her career including a victory at the Ryder/Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship last season. Cataldo, who is attempting to win her first collegiate title, has four career top-10’s to her credit.
Second-round action begins at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday with the third and final round taking place on Wednesday, also starting at 7:40 a.m.
