Region III Championship Results-Day Two

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-Sophomore Todd Widom (Coral Springs, Fla.) fell in the round of 16 at the Omni Hotels Region III Championships in Lexington, Ky. Saturday afternoon.
Widom defeated Lee Taylor Walker of Memphis 6-3, 7-6 (8) in the round of 64 before falling to Paul Ciorascu of Mississippi in three sets in the round of 16.
He fell in the first set 6-3, rallied to win the second set 7-5 and then fell 7-6 (5) in the third.
Widom teamed up with Colin Purcell (Louisville, Ky.) to beat Richman and White of LSU 8-5 in doubles play. The duo withdrew from competition for Sunday’s round of 32 play.
Andrew Golub (Miami, Fla.) and Tim Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) fell 8-6 to Harris and Lockin of Virginia in the round of 64 doubles Friday night.
