Tennis Completes The Gator Fall Classic

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–Sihem Bennacer (Algiers, Algeria) of the Miami women’s tennis team won five singles matches en route to the Flight B Singles Championship this weekend at the Gator Fall Classic in Gainesville, Fla.

Bennacer beat Ola Luczak of Central Florida 6-2, 6-4 on Sunday to win the flight.

Igna deVilliers (Capetown, South Africa) defeated Jennifer Hodge of Georgia 7-6, 6-1 to claim the Flight B Singles Main-Back Draw Championship.

In Flight B Doubles action Bennacer and Ewelina Skaza (Warsow, Poland) fell in the championship match to Natalie Mikolich of Florida and Sara Robbins of Miami, 8-6.

The tennis team is back in action at the All-American Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif. Oct. 7-13.
