Men's Tennis Opens The Fall Schedule

CORAL GABLES, Fla.-The Miami men’s tennis team opened the 2002 fall schedule Thursday at the Seminole Fall Classic in Tallahassee, Fla.
The tournament is being held at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center from Thursday, Sept. 19th through Saturday, Sept. 21st with a few matches being played at Florida A&M.
The first round began today at 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday’s matches will begin at 9 a.m. and will go on throughout the day. Championship Saturday is expected to finish around 6 p.m.
Thirteen teams from around the south region for some fall tournament action. Players from Florida, Miami, FAMU, Jacksonville, Stetson, Central Florida, Bethune-Cookman, Eckerd, Southern Miss., Georgia Southern, Troy State, Valdosta State and Mercer.
Overall, 80 athletes will be competing in one of the toughest draws ever in the Seminole Fall Classic.
Newcomer Adrian Bohane (West Palm Beach, Fla.) defeated Uli Ebensperger of Georgia Southern 6-2, 6-2 in first round action.
Tim Krebs (Eschborn, Germany) and Hood teamed up to beat Cordova and Bross of Stetson 8-1.
