Moser Sets School-Record In The Decathlon

Knoxville, TN (hurricanesports.com) – All-American Aaron Moser (Bonne Terre, MO) finished third in the decathlon with a school-record total of 7,423 points at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, TN.

Moser’s score is the eighth best by a collegian this year and provisionally qualifies him for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 29-June 1, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Moser, the three-time BIG EAST Champion in the event, opened the second day of competition with a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (14.59), garnering him 900 points. He then recorded another 726 points in the discus finishing second with a toss of 43.00 meters (141-01.00).

Moser won the pole vault with a mark of 4.80 meters (15-09.00) garnering 849 points, and then added 527 points in the javelin with a throw of 45.80 meters (150-03.00). Moser closed out the competition with a time of 5:09.14 in the 1,500-meters, good for 508 points.
