Martin, Ennis Lead Men's Track At FIU Invitational

Miami, FL (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Gus Martin (Miami Northwestern) won the 400-meter hurdles and senior Jabari Ennis (Kingston, Jamaica) took second in the pole vault to lead the Hurricane men’s track and field team at the FIU Invitational in Miami, FL.
Martin, who won the 110-meter hurdles at last weekend’s Hurricane Invitational, finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.94. Martin easily outdistanced the field defeating Terah Dardy of FIU (54.07) by over a second.
Ennis cleared 17 feet for the second consecutive week as he finished second with a mark of 5.18 meters (17-00.00). Ennis won the pole vault last weekend at the Hurricane Invitational with a vault of 5.30 meters (17-04.50).
Other Hurricane top finishers include senior Aaron Moser (Bonne Terre, MO) who finished fourth in the pole vault (4.88 meters/16-00.00), sophomore Aaron Bass (Bayonne, NJ) who finished fifth in the pole vault (4.73 meters/15-06.25), junior Gerard Wise (Saratoga Springs, NY) who took fifth in the javelin (47.24 meters/155-00.00) and Russell Landy who finished fourth in the decathlon (5463 points).
Miami will return to action at the Florida Relays, March 28-30, in Gainesville, FL.
