COLLEGE STATION, Texas-The No. 26-ranked Miami women’s tennis team fell to No. 24-ranked Texas A&M, 4-1, at the Bryan Indoor Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.
A&M improves to 12-2 overall as Miami falls to 8-4.
The Aggies won the doubles point by taking all three doubles matches. A&M’s No. 59-ranked tandem of Leah Killen and Martina Nedorostova made quick work of Miami’s Marcy Hora and Staci Stevens at No. 2, 8-1.
The Aggies No. 14-ranked duo of Ashley Hedberg and Jessica Roland defeated Igna deVilliers and Sara Robbins to seal the doubles point.

Freshman Staci Stevens defeated Olivia Karlkova, 6-4,6-2, at the No. 2 spot.
The Aggies used straight sets to win the final three singles courts. Majorie Terburgh topped No. 117-ranked Marcy Hora of Miami, 6-3,6-4, at No 3. At No. 1, Jessica Roland fought to take the win over No. 53-ranked Mari Toro, 7-5,6-4.
