On Friday, February 15th, 2002 former Hurricanes and current Toronto Blue JayDave Berg was on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Dave, whoplayed during the 1992 & 1993 seasons, still ranks 5th all time in singleseason sacrifices with 18, and 8th in career hit by pitch with 16. Duringhis final season as a Hurricane, Dave led the team with a .371 battingaverage. Dave Berg was a member of the 1997 World Series Champion FloridaMarlins.
