I havebeen following Miami football since 1982 and I enjoy watching you play morethan anyone at UM. I look forward to watching you next year. I was here supporting the team beforethe first National Title and proud that I am here for our 5th. I willgraduate in May with my Masters degree from UM. All I can say is…….Jobwell done.
Jay L. Abramoff, Modiin, ISRAEL, All of ’em: I have been a fan of UM since the early 80s when I was growing upin Miami. And I stuck with you through the hard times, and defend youagainst wrongful accusations. I would like to congratulate the truegentleman-student-athletes that make up the University of Miami footballteam on their national championship season. It is a joy to listen or watchthem play every game. Since I live in Israel, I usually listen to the WQAMbroadcast via the Internet, and I still get all excited, even at 3 am in themorning, with school or work the next day. I have read Jimmy JOhnson’sbook, ‘Turning the Thing Around’, and this 2001 team has met and surpassedwhat Johnson did with his teams, in my eyes, both on and off the field. Youhave set the standard with regard to football and student-athletics by whichother universities should follow.
Torrey Kolb, sumter/sc, team: congrats on a great season guys!! i’ve been a cane since the 85season and have stuck with you through thick and thin. i never stoppedbelieving in the program and i appriciate the hard work. you have made thisthe greaest season i have seen. i will see you on my long trips nextseason. until then i will savor the moment. thank you.
