Women's Golf In 10th At Pine Needles Invitational

Southern Pines, NC – University of Miami sophomore Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) fired an opening-round 79 and is in a tie for 27th after the first-round of the Pine Needles Invitational in Southern Pines, NC.

Hilland, who has recorded three top-4 finishes in as many events this fall season, trails Jan Dowling (Kent State) who leads the individual competition after shooting a first round 69 on Monday.

Overall the Hurricanes registered a score of 322 in the first round and are in 10th-place. Kent State leads the team competition after firing an opening-round 298. Michigan State (303) and Indiana (303) are tied for second.

Final round action will take place Tuesday.
