Women's Golfers Travel To Tuscaloosa

Coral Gables, FL – The University of Miami women’s golf team will participate in the first annual Alabama Capstone Intercollegiate Championship, October 26-28, in Brookwood, AL.

The event will be played at the par 71, 6,053-yard Capstone Club course.

The tournament boasts a talented field including 13 of the top-75 teams in the nation. Miami, which is ranked 74th in the latest GolfWeek Poll, will battle No. 9 Tennessee, No. 21 Oklahoma, No. 34 Alabama, No. 40 Mississippi, No. 43 South Florida, No. 44 Mississippi State, No. 48 Minnesota, No. 49 Texas A&M, No. 55 UNC-Wilmington, No. 61 Nebraska, No. 62 Missouri and No. 66 Kentucky.

Rounding out the field is Alabama-Birmingham, Arkansas, Augusta State and SMU.

Sophomore Camilla Hilland (Lommedalen, Norway) has recorded top-4 finishes in both tournaments this fall to lead Miami. Hilland was the Hurricanes’ top finisher at both events finishing third at last weekend’s Hatter Fall Classic and fourth in Miami’s first tournament this season, the Beacon Woods Invitational (Oct. 12-14).
