Men's Cross Country Finishes Second At FIU Invitational

Miami, FL (hurricanesports.com) – Senior Jeff Gaulrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) finished second with a time of 25:25.93 to lead the University of Miami men’s cross country team to a second-place finish at the FIU Invitational held at Tamiami Park in Miami, FL.
Gaulrapp has now been the Hurricanes top finisher in 11 consecutive races dating back to last season.
Miami had a total of three runners finish among the top-5 individually. Joining Gaulrapp was sophomore Matt Mulvaney (South Hadley, MA) who finished third, completing the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:40.42. Senior Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA) took fifth with a time of 26:08.48.
Other Hurricane finishers included freshmen Danish Ahmad who finished 19th (28:51.30), Billy Bludgus who finished 20th (28:52.80) and Matt Maloney who took 25th (29:34.86).
The Hurricanes return to action October 6 for the Disney Invitational in Orlando, FL.
