Gaulrapp Leads Men's Cross Country

Tallahassee, FL (www.hurricanesports.com) – Senior Jeff Gaulrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) finished 14th with a time of 25:40.18 to lead the University of Miami men’s cross country team to an eighth-place finish out of 22 teams at the Florida Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, FL.

Gaulrapp has now been the Hurricanes top finisher in 10 consecutive races dating back to last season.

Miami had a total of three runners finish among the top-31 individually. Joining Gaulrapp was sophomore Matt Mulvaney (South Hadley, MA) who finished 30th, completing the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:11.20. Senior Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA) took 31st with a time of 26:12.88.

Other Hurricane finishers included freshmen Danish Ahmad who finished 108th (29:13.15), Matt Maloney who took 115th (29:41.58) and Billy Bludgus who finished 118th (29:46.30).

The Hurricanes return to action October 6 for the Disney Invitational in Orlando, FL.
