Baseball Enjoys Sunshine Success

This season’s 18-4 record against Division I teams from the state of Florida is Hurricanes’ best under Jim Morris. The previous high was 17-5 in 1999.

UM opened the season taking two of three games from Florida Atlantic. The next weekend, Miami won in Gainesville for the first time in five years. After winning in each others’ park, Miami took two straight meetings from Florida International at the Homestead Challenge. UM took two of three games from Florida State in Coral Gables followed by a three-game sweep of the Seminoles in Tallahassee.UM defeated Stetson, 10-9, at Mark Light. UM most recently took two of three games from Jacksonville at home.
