Men's Track At TCU

Coal Gables, FL – Sophomore Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA) finished first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a meet-record time of 9:11.12 to lead the University of Miami men’s track and field team at the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, TX.

Boniface, the school-record holder in the event, has recorded two meet victories this season.

Junior Jeff Gualrapp (Baldwinsville, NY) also ran well finishing fourth in the steeplechase (9:21.20).

Senior Joseph Mbayen (Paris, France) recorded the fastest time in the BIG EAST this season in the 100-meters (10.65) and also posted the Hurricanes’ top mark in the long jump (7.09 meters).

Junior Gus Martin (Miami Northwestern) had a strong showing in the 200-meters recording a UM season best time of 21.68.

Miami performed well in the pole vault as Jabari Ennis (4.71-meters), Guy Emry (4.56-meters), and Jon Mark (4.41-meters) took fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
