No. 32 Women's Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season With 6-1 Win Over UCF

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The No. 32-ranked Miami women’s tennis team closed out the regular season with a 6-1 win over Central Florida Sunday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Miami improves to 14-7 on the season, while the Golden Knights fall to 12-5.
The Hurricanes swept doubles play with wins at all three courts. The senior duo of Alanna Broderick and Katia Bogomolova closed out their careers at Miami with an 8-3 win over Marieke Gunawan and Sonja Prokopec at No. 1 doubles.
Marcy Hora and Igna deVilliers teamed up on court No. 2 downing Julie Pecastaing and Anna Westin 8-5.
Sihem Bennacer and Bettina Hafner handled Daniela Okal and Ann-Jeanette Svantesson 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
The Hurricanes picked up wins at No. 2 through No. 6 singles in straight sets to secure the 6-1 victory.
UM improves to 165-35 all-time against teams from the state of Florida.
Miami returns to action for the BIG EAST Tennis Championships, April 20-22, at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables.
