UM Men's Track Travels To Florida Memorial

Opa Locka, FL – The University of Miami men’s track and field team will participate in its final tune-up prior the Miami Gatorade Classic when it travels to Opa Locka to battle Florida Memorial this Saturday, April 7.
Next weekend the Hurricanes will host the 15th Annual Miami Gatorade Track and Field Classic, April 14, at Cobb Stadium for Soccer, Track and Field in Coral Gables, FL.
Leading the Hurricanes this weekend will be juniors Gus Martin (Miami Northwestern) and Jabari Ennis (Kingston, Jamaica) as well as sophomore Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA).
Dan Boniface (Seattle, WA), competing last weekend at the 2001 Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, NC, finished second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a school-record time of 9:08.62. Boniface bettered his own school-record of 9:10.49 set March 17 at the Hurricane Invitational.
Martin and Ennis are both coming off strong performances at the Florida Relays. Martin recorded a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles while Ennis took fifth in the pole vault.
