No. 13 Men's Tennis Set To Face No. 10 South Alabama

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–After knocking off the No. 10 team in the nation the University of Miami men’s tennis team is now ranked No. 13 in the nation. The ranking is the highest ever for head coach Jay Berger in his four-year career at Miami.

The Hurricanes (15-2) ranked No. 19 at the time beat No. 10 Notre Dame 4-3 on Sunday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The tennis team looks to win its 16th match of the season on Friday, as the Hurricanes look to knock off the No. 10 team again this week, traveling to Mobile, Ala. to face No. 10-ranked South Alabama.

The match begins at 1:30 p.m. CST at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The Hurricanes are on a six-match winning streak, and have won eight of the last nine matches.

The Jaguars enter the contest with an overall record of 21-2, winning the last 12 in a row.

UM beat USA 5-2 last season in Coral Gables.

Senior No. 81 Michael Lang boasts an overall singles record of 13-2.
