Men's Tennis Moves To No. 14 In The Nation

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–After knocking off two top-20 programs the University of Miami men’s tennis team is now ranked No. 14 in the nation. The ranking is the highest ever for head coach Jay Berger in his four-year career at Miami.
The Hurricanes ranked No. 24 at the time beat No. 19 Baylor 5-2, and No. 15 Mississippi State 5-2 last week.
The tennis team looks to win its 13th match of the season on Thursday, as the Hurricanes host Cornell at 6 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
UM enters the contest with a 12-2 overall record. This season, the Hurricanes are on a three-match win streak and have only relinquished four points in the last three.
Miami shutout Charleston Southern 7-0 Monday afternoon, shutting out an opponent for the third time this season.
The Big Red enter the contest 11-3. Miami is the fourth of five Florida teams Cornell will face this week.
Senior Johan Lindqvist boasts an overall singles record of 12-2 and has won 10 of the last 11 matches.
