No. 38 Women's Tennis Falls To No. 35 Georgia Tech, 4-3

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The No. 38-ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team fell 4-3 in a hard fought battle with No. 35 Georgia Tech Tuesday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Miami falls to 7-3 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-4 overall.
The Hurricanes jumped out early taking the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Miami picked up wins at No. 1and No. 5 singles. Alanna Broderick defeated Debbie Reynolds 6-0, 3-6, 7-5 at No. 1 and Sihem Bennacer downed Mason Miller 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
The match came down to No. 70 freshman Bettina Hafner at No. 2 singles, Hafner was defeated in three sets by Mysti Morris 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 to give the Yellow Jackets the win over Miami.
Marcy Hora teamed up with Lauren Scaglione to defeat Laura Ozolins and Mason Miller 8-5 at No. 2 doubles. Hafner and Bennacer downed Bobbi Guthrie and Debbie Reynolds at No. 3 doubles.
No. 38 Miami returns to action in its first road match of the season, traveling to face No. 22 UCLA Saturday at Noon.
