Miami Women's Track Moves Up To No. 17

Coral Gables, FL – The University of Miami women’s track and field team is ranked in a five-way tie for 17th in the latest Trackwire Women’s Collegiate Track and Field Top-25 poll released this week.
Miami has been led this season by the 800-meter tandem of sophomore Patricia Pearson (Jacksonville, FL) and senior All-American Natalie Watson (Coral Springs). Pearson and Watson currently rank No. 1 and No. 2 in the nation in the 800-meters.
Pearson is also a member of the Hurricanes’ 15th-ranked 4×400-meter relay consisting of junior Jenise Winston (League City, TX), sophomores Jamillah Wade (Philadelphia, PA) and Saraque Whittaker (Ft. Lauderdale – St. Thomas Aquinas).
The Hurricanes have also been led by junior All-American triple jumper Kareen Clarke (Lithonic, GA). Clarke, the two-time defending BIG EAST Champion, currently ranks 15th in the nation in the event.
